Steppe Nomads tourist camp in the amazing Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve that is on the borders of steppes and forest steppes zones of Mongolia. It’s 130km in the south east from Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, on the right shore of the River Kherlen.
Our camp is ideally located at the main gateway to the highlights of Eastern Mongolia – the birthplace of Genghis Khan, ruins of Genghis Khan’s Aurag Orda city, 13th century aristocrats’ graveyard and many more. Also our camp is a great stopover for the ones heading to the Great Mongolian steppes.

This is the junction of Ulaanbaatar - Baganuur paved road.

How to get there?

It takes only 2 hours drive on good road to get to Steppe Nomads tourist camp. You will drive 113km on good paved road to Baganuur's road and you will see Gun-Galuut NR's sign at the at the junction of old and new roads. Then turn right and drive to the south for 17km on good earth tracks following the camp signs on rock as below picture.
